It's certainly been a while since I have written anything in deviant art journal. By no means have I ever been a regular journal-keeper in any form, however, I think I might try to do so, to give myself a free writing space. Similarly, I really need to scribble down jots, thoughts and otherwise what would be termed as deviations randomly in class or other spaces and completely lose track of it. I have not really uploaded much except for a random thought that I felt like venerating today.
Mostly, I have been busy. Very busy. In between doing my Masters, being a T.A. to a first year Undergrad class, privately tutoring a student, preparing for conferences, drafts and doing a post grad school application along with dealing with other matters, I honestly haven't the time to do much! Even sleep seems like a luxury, which I do feel it is (except for when I'm sick and no, I don't think a dreamless state of suspension counts as sleep).
Other than all of that, things have been fairly well. I'm very content with how things are progressing in my life and hopefully in a few years this crazy busy schedule will finally start to diminish, leaving me some time!
I'm certainly considering taking a month or two off after I'm done my Masters to...wait for it....simply relax and enjoy myself. Geez....even thinking about taking time off makes me feel .. very guilty ... that's right, it feels like a guilty pleasure. Really, knowing that you deserve to have some fun once can still make you feel pretty horrid, as if you are dodging responsibilities. What can I say? Over active conscience at all times! It really is an impediment...
